Group stage: NJC v ACJC (Girls)
Result: 6-1 (3-0, 1-0, 2-1)

It wasn't an excellent performance but we have done well enough to attain a comfortable victory over a new team. We took a comfortable lead early in the match and that gave us more opportunities to focus on other aspects of the game, like in defense, free-hits and powerplay set-ups. All-in-all, though we got the result that we wanted, we could have done better in the individual department.

(Wo)man of the match: Fangyee
It was tough choosing the wo(man) of the match. But Fangyee eventually emerge as the winner because she has been extremely active at the goal mouth, such that she's able to pick up at least one goal from there. It's always very crowded in the goal mouth area. For a goal to be scored there, it would take a player to be at the right place at the right time, and taking a timed-hit. She has done well in that.

Special mention: Kahyee, Zhixin, Wenqin
Not only have they kept the defense at the back tight, they have also distributed the ball well to the forwards to start the offensive set-up.

Group stage: NJC v YJC (Guys)
Result: 2-4 (1-2, 1-0, 0-2)

Unable to get settled down earlier than the opponent, we gave away two unexpected goals and put ourselves early in the chasing seat. When we have finally settled down, we managed to capitalise on several good shooting opportunities to put us back into the game. However, a well-fought come-back could only be washed away with two defensive errors, which put us in the back seat again. In addition, the lack of offensive set-ups put us in a tougher position to achieve an opening match victory.

Man of the match: Mok
Although the blunder he made late in the 3rd period might have cost us the match, he has been extremely alert at the goal throughout the match. His numerous timed-saves has kept the team's hope alive at least till almost the final whistle.

Not because of the goals they scored, but because they have been following simple instructions and carrying them out diligently, which most of our players have failed to do.
