To my dear team-mates,

Congratulations, we made it!
We fought so hard, and it was an amazing, spectacular comeback from 2-0 during the first quarter to a final sparkling score of 7-3. Having lead this team for almost a year, I HAVE NEVER FELT ANY PROUDER. Every single one of you contributed so much- your sweat, your tears, your blood- and we have done it. WE HAVE DONE IT.

There were many people along the way that doubted us, and I’m sure almost all of you have felt it in a very personal way. But it was okay, because we had each other. It didn’t matter what other people said, because we knew that no matter what, we would be there for one another. When things were difficult, all that I needed were YOU guys, MY floorball team- to get through any challenges which came my way.

When I saw all of you fighting on court today, my heart swelled with pride because I was so, so happy. I saw my team-mates supporting one another, fighting hard with so much spirit, and never giving up- not even for one heartbeat. What more could I ask for? You guys have proven to everyone else, but most importantly to yourselves, that all of you have what it takes to be a winner- you are all champions. We have grown as a team, we have laughed (a lot and a lot) and cried (a few times), and now we’re finally here.

How can I not love every single one of you? You guys have pushed hard, have believed in yourselves and your team-mates, and we have become a winning team (: Like what Aretha said- We’re an amazing team because despite all our differences, we’re like family because we share the same sentiments, the same goals, the same aspiration and the same love (: When we hug (and scream and yell and laugh) on court, it’s truly amazing because we understand that an individual doesn’t win- a team does.

Being your team-mate has taught me so much, and I have become a better person, captain, and team-mate because of every single one of you. You have taught me what support truly means, you have showed your team-mates fierce loyalty and respect, and you have given me unconditional faith and trust. We cover for one another, we watch each others’ backs, and we never fail to show one another how much love we have.

Our next game is next Friday, against double defending champions, MJ. To be honest, I don’t really care what the score is, as long as we play as the team that we are- one that is passionate, one that has the desire to win, one that has the initiative to step up, one that supports her team-mates. I promise you that as long as you play to your fullest potential, we will emerge as winners regardless of what happens during the match.

Special thanks to the floorball guys (: , the junior girls and everyone else who came to lend their voices for our match. You guys cheered us on with so much gust it was contagious! We really, really appreciate it. The girls will be coming down to support the floorball guys on Monday, and we have absolute confidence that you WILL WIN(: Do us proud!

I am truly honoured to have all of you as team-mates, and I am so, so proud of the njcfloorball team. Nationals are half over- let’s make the best out of the rest of our games. Push on and fight hard, we’re all in this together and we are all GOING TO DO IT! (:
