Group stage: NJC v RJC (Guys) Result: 2-6 (2-1, 0-2, 0-3) Overall, it was a game on who made more mistakes and who capitalised on opponent's mistakes well and unfortunately, we were on the wrong side of comparison. We managed to strike 2 goals early in the game when RJC were still not stabilised, but 2 quick goals in the late 2nd period by RJC due to moments of lost of focus gave RJC the chance to bounce back and take the lead. 3 further crucial mistakes by us in the 3rd period, resulted from an unnecessary 2-minute bench penalty foul committed, 1 defensive error and 1 unforced error, gave RJC the opportunities to extend the lead and they did take their chances well. And due to fatigue in the last period, we lost focus and panicked and we lost the basic tactical awareness. It's a game that was given away way too easily, but at least, we managed to hold RJC well for 2 periods. Goal scorer: Samuel (1), Su Kiat (1) Assist: Samuel (1) Man of the Match: Su Kiat Su Kiat is consistently active throughout the game and has never shown any significant drop in intensity. As a center and captain of the game, he has exhibited a strong desire to lead the team on to victory, with well-timed tackles, a good command from the back and a well-placed shot, which put the team in the lead yet again before the 1st break. All-in-all, his confidence and contribution in the game can both be felt on and off the court. Special mention: Samuel, Frederick, Zi Hong, Junlong, Jiawei They have all shown the confidence to face the challenges and have strong tactical awareness, but all lack the consistency to be exhibited throughout the game.
