Group stage: NJC v MI (Guys) Result: 5-4 (1-2, 2-1, 2-1) It was a sweet revenge for us, after we lost to them by the same result last year through a last minute goal. It was a fight-fought game in which we only defended well from the 2nd period, but we made our chances count through well-placed shots. We started the game shaky but it was Sam's goal in the 1st period that calm us down. While most of our defenders were composed and sharp in keeping the score down, it was the forwards' tireless runs and well-timed tackles that pushed the team to fight on. Goal scorer: Jiawai (2), Sam (1), Darius (1), Su Kiat (1) Assist: Kin Phang (1) Man of the Match: Jianhong While most of our players finally got their touches back, Jianhong was one of the few players who were consistent since the 1st game. In this game, not only has he exhibited the strong command from the back as the last defender, he has shown great confidence and control to allow his line-mates to push up to attack with ease. He is the only last defender who has the confidence to step up to join in the attack. Special mention: Darius, Adrian, Frederick, Junlong Ever since our final stage preparation, they have grown stronger and every game was an improvement from the last. The way to go guys!!
