Player of the Year Voting will be done by all 36 players in the main team, Miss Wong (Teacher-in-charge) and myself (Coach). The Player of the Year (Girl's) will be voted by all 18 players in the Girl's team, Miss Wong and myself. The Player of the Year (Guy's) will be voted by all 18 players in the Guy's team, Miss Wong and myself. Breakdown of weightage of each vote: Each player: 5% of total (100%) Miss Wong: 3% of total Coach: 7% of total Objective: To select a player from each team who best represents the team, both on and off the court. He and she must have played a significant role (not necessarily in a leadership role) in shaping the teams to their current form. He and she must have strong positive contributions to the teams as a player both on and off the court. He and she must possess a high degree of discipline, sportsmanship, fairness, knowledge of the game, understanding of the team and any other positive attributes. Selected Players of the Year will each receive a prized item and a certificate of acknowledgement contributed by the NJC Floorball funds. Voting More details will be sent out by the respective captains soon. Please go through each player's contributions to the team from the start of the season (Aug 2007) thoroughly and cast your vote carefully.

Tuesday, July 22, 200822 July 2008, Tuesday Finals: NJC v RJC (Gals) Result: 2-5 (1-0, 0-4, 1-1) The pressure started piling from both teams right from the start of the game. It was the opponent who started firing a string of shots towards our goal but we took a surprising turn for the game by scoring the opening goal. In the 2nd period, RJC stepped up further in aggression and they got the better of us; stealing the possession from us time and again and converting their chances to goals. The 3rd period was well-matched but it was a little too late for us. Overall, it was an awesome display by two hard-fighting teams for a fantastic crowd! Goal scorer: Reethie (1), Sueping (1) Assist: NIL Man of the Match: Mer Though without a goal from the game, Mer has displayed yet another valuable quality which a forward should possess - the ability to maintain ball possession. Because of this quality that she has, together with the use of her speed and good ball protection, she has posed a lot of threats to the opposition defence. With good control over the ball, a forward is able to set up the line for an attack more effectively. Special mention: Bingxin, Sueping, Ter, Reethie Bingxin - Has good composure in defence and has established good communication with her line-mates. Sueping, Reethie & Ter - As usual, very hard-working in defence and has helped the team win back the possession of the ball numerous times.

Saturday, July 19, 200818 July 2008, Friday Semi Finals: NJC v MJC (Gals) Result: 1-5 (0-0, 1-3, 0-2) We went into the game with a different strategy today against the defending champions. The game plan went well for most of the game and we did manage to keep them at bay in the 1st period. However, the opponent's superior speed, aggression and technical-ability proved to much for us to handle from the 2nd period, and we eventually crumpled and fell off the competition. Overall, it was a battle lost to a well-prepared and well-trained squad. Goal scorer: Mer (1) Assist: NIL Man of the Match: Reethie Reethie has contributed significantly in defense to help neutralised the opponent's attack. Even when faced with the strongest players from the opposite camp for most of the game, she did not give up on her chase for the ball. She went in for double-teams diligently and has cut off several ball supplies to their forwards. Her fitness training has well-paid off today and more importantly, she has grown out of her usual self to be a strong player on court. Special mention: Cat, Mer, Pris Mer - For scoring her 1st goal of the season and great fighting spirit throughout the whole game. Cat - She has done well to neutralise the MJC's captain's move for most of the game. She only scored against Line 3 once through a counter-attack. Pris - She has kept her line's defence consistently tight.

THE REALMER is here.hahha. omg omg omg omg! I DO NOT LIKE HIM! omg omg omg! and, Chan Bingxin, you are DEAD. dont pretend that muzhi wrote that! Oh btw, to those people whom dont know, muzhi = mer = me. Why? the girls find it hilarious that my surname is tham = thumb = muzhi. -_- I know. So far, all the posts that "muzhi" have written are by PRIS, ZHEN AND BCHAN. okay, let's just ignore the post below SHALL WE?!?! Nobody teases me tmr or you'll get a super hard ultra whack! :D the real mer.
 I've my very own movie!This time, there are only 2 main actors - Husband #2 and ME (unlike floorball babes, where I'm just one of the 6 main characters. And Kinphang is MINE lor, not Ter's) Remember this romantic movie back in 2003?  There is now a sequel - 向左走·向右走 2 ! Which is even more romantic and thrilling.  See the similarities? I'm looking left, while he's looking right. While the other unimportant people are more or less blurred. (by the way, the leg behind me belongs to Ter)  Love blossoms (:I'm still facing left while he's facing right. I'm secretly smsing him (or S_K__T, K_NPH_NG, S_M) The leg behind me is still Ter's leg. Actually Ter has a role in this movie After 向左走·向右走 2, I'm going to have another movie. Again, it is a sequel to another show  Mine will be called:THE MUZHI STRIKES BACK The battle between Bt. MERAH and TERRA continues. My movies are very logical In 向左走·向右走 2, Ter will try to steal Husband #2 away from me In THE MUZHI STRIKES BACK, I will retaliate and the famous battle of Bt. MERAH and TERRA will ensue Guess who will be the one gazing into my eyes in the movie poster. (hint: probably someone whom I always close my eyes with) what a twist of events! Tuesday, July 15, 2008Group stage: NJC v NYJC (Guys) Result: 5-3 (3-0, 0-0, 2-3) It was probably the easiest match we could have, but we didn't make it look so easy. Nevertheless, we still managed to get the goals through the set-ups we have always been practising on and earned another victory to end our season on a reasonably good ranking. Goal scorer: Jason (1), Sam (1), Gary (1), Su Kiat (1), Louis (1) Assist: Su Kiat (1), Sam (1), Jiawei (1) Man of the Match: Adrian Adrian has shown great stability in defence that one would doubt whether he just started playing floorball six months ago. He used his body well in 50-50 ball situations and distributed neat passes to his forwards to start a good set-up. After 2 fairly consistent performances, he has finally stepped further to play a confident game. Special mention: Jason, Gary, Louis Their never-say-die attitude earned them their first and only goal of the season. They wanted it and they got it.
